St Patrick's Day Lacing Cards - exploring Maths shapes & primary colors
St Patrick's Day Lacing cards for preschoolers and kindergartners. This is a lovely set of St Patrick's Day Lacing Cards exploring basic shapes (and colors if you wish) too.
The shapes explored are:
* Circle
* Squares
Encourage your students to discuss primary colors when coloring their own versions too.
These can either be glue onto card (making a great eco friendly activity) or laminated (for reuse). There are 4 designs which come in black and white for coloring, as well as full color for laminating. This a 4 page pdf. 2 pages contain the black and white images and 2 pages the full colour.
You will need:
* Recycled Card or laminator
* Paper for printing
* A Hole punch for creating holes (for your students)
* Scissors (older children can practice cutting skills}
* Pens or markers for coloring
* Needle and thread or use shoe laces or yarn with some tape aroud the end for the final lacing activity.
If getting your students to color their own lacing cards, I recommend doing this activity over the course of two lessons or sessions. The first to color and cut. Then as part of your teaching prep you laminate/ glue to card and create the holes. And then in session two the actual lacing!
